News: Laos NLMA UAV Project

Mekong Maps is pleased to announce that we have just won a project to use an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to support the Laos National Land Management Authority (NLMA) in the collection of aerial photography for cadastral Mapping. The project will include procuring the UAV, performing UAV image acquisition, integrating the imagery with parcel and survey maps, and providing training to NLMA staff.

We have recently bid on a World Bank remote sensing project in the Philippines in collaboration with the Swiss Deminig Foundation (FSD).  We are actively seeking other partners and customers. News: Laos Cabon REDD Project

Mekong Maps is happy to announce that we have just won a Carbon REDD mapping project in Laos as the lead company in a consortium (our partners are the National University of Laos (NUOL) & NCCR North-South Management Center for Development and Environment (CDE) at University of Bern, Switzerland).  Mekong Maps will also work closely and provide training to the Forest Inventory Planning Department.
 
 
 
 

News: Google Earth Project

Mekong Maps is currently completing a Google Foundation Geogrant project to place massive datasets online in support of humanitarian de-mining and UXO clearance.  As part of the project we are preparing a Geoserver for public access which will contain a full national 1:50,000 topographic mosaic of Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos PDR. For more information about the datasets, and the Geoserver technology that makes it work, please contact us.
